(2002. pp42) presented an falsifiable generalization that the companies selling products engage with their customers in more(prenominal) transactional manner whereas the companies selling services engage with their customers in more relational manner. In fact if the work up done by these researchers is analyzed closely, it reveals that the fundamental difference lies in the way the methodology of marketing is chosen - whether for products or for services. The researchers presented four methodologies of marketing - Transaction Marketing, Database Marketing, interaction Marketing and Network Marketing. The choice of markets depends upon the way cash flow is expected from the consumers to the firm - one time or recurring. Any marketing strategy targeting unremitting cash flow from consumers will prefer relationship marketing. Some marketing strategists prefer to adopt pluralistic approach of accompanying both relationship & transactional marketing depending upon the demands of the market segments. Example, low cost products & services may be promoted more through transactional marketing while premium products & services may be promoted more through relationship marketing. Database & network marketing are relatively multiplex and hence are of lesser preference among marketing professionals. Is Product or go marketing fundamentally relatedCoviello and Brodie et al. (2002. pp42) argued that empirically the services & product marketing areas have been treated differen tly. The engagement channels are more in services marketing than products marketing. Moreover, usage of IT enabled in additionls result in more impact on customers in the services marketing than product marketing. This is because the expectations of customers from services are more complex than from products. Krishnan and Ramaswamy et al. (1999. pp 1197-1200) presented a detailed research on customer satisfaction in banking & financial services industry. They presented that unlike manufacturing industries that produce fully tangible products, the financial services industry offers productized services that are delivered through multiple channels to the customers and hence the span of customer expectations widens given that their frequency of interactions with the companies are much more. In elusion of products, a consumer may call the service lines only if a fault or defect is detected or else some usability features are not clear. These transactions are one time in nature that m ay occur few times in a year. However, in services industries the customers interact with the companies too often whereby their experience in every interaction counts in building the perceptions. Hence, in case of service

Uncompleted or inchoate crimes - Essay Examplemstances and among different cultures and continents that Common jurisprudence postulates were fashioned, modified, edited and altered not abruptly tho subtly, through decades of observation and application in the form of verdicts from the courts of uprightness and what can be seen today is the stamp out result of absorption through years of diverse ethos and interaction between cultural and societal forces at work in numerous societies.Common heavy principles and concepts as Magna Charta, Bill of Rights, Habeas Corpus and even Right of trial by jury have their origins in Common law. The evolution of Common Law has been a long natural process and is based on the principle of stare decisis, a Latin clause that literally means stand by things decided. To inform it further, the clause means a judge in a court of law has to apply the law as it is presented to him through previous decisions of courts of law. But this does not really p revent judges from making a law as they can and, almost always do, introduce changes that obviously cannot be revolutionary but subtle in nature and an accumulation of such subtle changes finally lead to a marked alteration in the present version of the law as compared to its original form. (Neilson, 1882)Though Common Law originated in England and still forms the basis of prevalent laws in England, Wales and Ireland, it also wields deep influence on well-grounded systems of United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India and many other commonwealth countries. However, with the passage of time, it has been observed that most countries have veered towards a system where distinctions between Common Law and Civil Law (or, codified law) have increasingly been obliterated as jurisprudence (for all practical purposes another name for Common Law) gained importance in countries following Civil Law and statutes and codes were more often cited in countries following Common Law.There are two concepts actus reus (the

Philosophy - Essay ExampleAccordingly, in order to attain a happy tone, people should avoid the primary sources of unhappiness which are the attention of death and the fear of gods.According to Epicurus, fear of death and fear of the gods are the chief sources of unhappiness in life. The definition of unhappiness seems to be simple though and that is the absence of happiness. But, for Epicurus, Happiness is the outcome pleasure. Basically pleasure is good and pain is bad. The absence of pain in the body and trouble in the soul behind describe pleasure. Gods do not really castigate humans nor reward which makes sense in thinking that a happy life comprises of being quit from the fear of gods and death (Boeree, 2000). A tranquil life, coined as ataraxia and aponia, significantly means being free from fear and not experiencing pain. Ataraxia is like the real happiness of a person and surpassing the material world who embraces the principles of philosophy. And aponia caters to the bel ief that happiness is the main goal of the human life. The two terms is apparent to a tranquil life where trouble in the soul can be taken away as well as the inhibition of physical pain.Pleasure is good and this fix can be maximized through the absence of pain in physical and mental senses. For Epicurus, fear of gods and fear of death are the primary sources of unhappiness that greatly affect the views of a person. Some people choose pain over pleasure because of thinking that this might lead to a greater pleasure. Epicurus insists that living a quiet and private life could be the best in order to live a happy life (Epicurus, 2000). This is because he rejects the popular perspective of the time. nitwitted or the unnecessary desire can cause mental disquiet which should be avoided. The effects of revaluation Chinas currency to the us and China economy Essay

The effects of revaluation chinas currency to the us and China economy - Essay ExampleFurthermore, in order to forfend feud with international institutions like the IMF and WTO as well as some alternate partners, Chinese officials said that before they begin to change the treasure of their currency, a long-term stability would be needed in order to avoid dislodgment in their economy (Sanford 2005). Chinese officials have announced a bracing exchange rate on July 21, 2005. This review of literature will focus on the implications of the undervalued Yuan to China and U.S. as well as its other trade partners and the effects of a revaluation to the economy of China and U.S.1. Chinas total foreign currency reserves have amounted to $346.5 billion, currently the worlds second largest later Japan. This reflects the strength of Chinas exports and its ability to attract foreign investment. As a result, some of Chinas trading partners use up that their trade deficits are aggravated by th e undervalued yuan. An example of this is Chinas part in the contentious U.S. trade deficit wherein China is accounted for 21 per cent of the US total trade deficit (Taylor, 2006). Some experts claim that once the Chinese currency revaluation and appreciation commercialize forces will drive the currency upwards, thus lessening the trade gap. The current situation and value of the Chinese currency is similar to the Japanese ache in the early 1980s. Japan was accounted for half of the USs trade deficit during the 80s. The 1985 Plaza Accord forced the yen to rise against the dollar.2. The undervalued yuan brought major incursions of capital both from domestic and foreign speculators. Local companies are using the current economic situation wherein Chinas capital market remains closed, to divert their export earnings back to China, a different event after so many years of limiting their Yuan holdings. distant currencies are also flowing in through the black market.

Professional Team Sports Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Professional Team Sports - Essay ExampleMaking profits is a key aspect in any business venture (Wladimir and Stefan, 2006617). This savvy has created interest in finding out the real effect of decisions made by club owners and franchise on the structure and regulation of leagues around the world. This newspaper publisher therefore seeks to interrogate the different ways in which the objectives and decisions of club owners in master sports affect the everyplaceall sporting arena. In order to get better sales in sports, high level of competition is required unlike in business where monopoly is the ultimate goal. If there are championships or leagues, the participation of more than than two clubs will be necessary to ensure better products to the fans. If one club is far better than the rest and keeps on winning all games with ease, the products have so predictable and therefore less martable to the fans (Wladimir & Stefan, 200627). Fans will get bored in watching a team that wi ns with big margins repeatedly and so need some degree of uncertainty for them to enjoy watching the game. This phenomenon of the maestro sports as an manufacture has led to the development of cooperation among clubs and the adoption of governing bodies charged with ensuring that the industry attains its optimal production capacity by way of organising championships and leagues. These leagues are highly competitive and as such have become some of the most productive enterprises around the globe. For instance, the European champions league, the Barclays premier league in England and the La-liga of Spain are some examples among many leagues in football that are leading income earners for the respective clubs and contribute a considerable amount of the countries GDP. Baseball, basketball, indoor sports, golf, athletics, and Olympics in general all form a multibillion-dollar economy (Masteralexis and Hums, 2002295). The graph below shows how revenue from sporting activities has incre ased over the years. Figure 1 graphic illustration of increase in revenue in the sports sector associated with increasing commercialization Retrieved from http//www.econweb.com/MacroWelcome/sandd/D-Shift_New_Equilibrium.gif According to some economists, this feature of professional sport is quite favourable as it eradicates monopolies, which are responsible for poor quality of products or services offered and high non-commensurate prices. In the end, the whole arena of professional sports forms a model of free market where competitiveness of the product offered carries the largest share. This competition however is not always healthy especially with respect to the labour market (Stefan, 200747). Here, the free relocation and transfer of run awayers from one club to the other based on the wages has made the wealthier clubs maintain a grip of the top leagues and championships over the less wealthy clubs. Therefore, wealthy club owners can get all the best talent there is in the marke t and thereby in a way kill competition, which is the very phenomenon on which the industry thrives (Rodney, 200425). This has resulted to creation of oligopolistic cartels where the higher level of game is exclusive to the rich clubs where as the less wealthy clubs play in the lower divisions that are less competitive and less famous among the fans ((Wladimir and Stefan, 200664). This means that fans will be flocking the gates only when big teams are playing. This on the face of it means very high revenues for them where as the poorer clubs will only have small number of fans in

The First World War Essay Example for Free

The First World War EssayAll of the sources give dissimilar impressions as to wether Germanys trineers are responsibe for the outbreak of the First World War. reference point 1 seems to strongly suggest that German leading and the German Government did in fact push for the war with Hewitson blaming the Army and suggesting that Germany was looking for an hazard to start war however he does not fully support the view that German leading were responsible.Porter and Armour (Source 2) strongly supports this view by again pointing to the millitary and prime minister Bethmann Hollweg looking for an opportunity to engage war but again not fully placing the blame on Germany but looking at the threating actions of Russia and Britain. In contrast to both Source 1 and 2 Norman Stone ( Source 3) does not blame Germany, instead he suggest that the tension in Europe for the last decade fin everyy reached an ultimatum in the July crisis and the war was the fault of all Great powers. scra ping Hewitson argument that German army and the government pushed for war before 1914 is reasonable and puts the blame on the German leaders, this view is also support by ficher who said that Germany was making plans for annexation before the July crisis which suggest that Germany hoped to quickly win the war. It is also supported by the Council meeting in 1912 which held that it was Germanys consious decision to wage war for its own gain. This view is supported by Porter and Armour ( source 2), they say Bethmann Hollweg government deliberatly provoked a diplomatic crisis which it knew might lead to war. This strongly suggest that German leaders were actually responsible for the outbreak and the statement might be true, because if Hollweg knew that the war would be a certain victory, he would certainly be very pro-war, this due to him carrying astir(predicate) German wellfare which can be seen through certain reforms he passed, such as the 1911 imperial insurence code. Norman ( Source 3) does not fully accept the argument that the German army pushed for war, he instead says that the war was collectivly the fault of Great powers and increasing hysteria since 1890 .Mark ( Source 1) argues that Germany was trying to make themselves seen as the ones that need to defend themselves, to undercut public opposition to war by casting Russia as the agressor, this would give Germany anopportunity to wage war on Russia without other European powers being hostile to Germany. Reich government was able to undercut public opposition, with Russia being the agressor the German government hoped that nationalism would stop the public from opposing the war. Porter and Armour (soure 2) agrees with Mark Anglo-Russian naval talks, this would mean encirclement for Germany and in fact might show Germany as the country that only wants to defend itself. This could suggest that German leaders were not as responsible but the other countries such as Russia , France and Britain being aggressive and indeed Germany naturally being worried. Norman ( source 3) also agrees on the fact that it was the tension in Europe that led to war instead of German leaders decisions.Mark ( Source 1) does come into a conclusion that not neccesserly German leaders planned war, but rather continued a constitution of brinkmanship. The contination of this policy however might be the decision that has caused some tension amongst majour European countries, the expansion of Germany might of have been seen as a threat towards other countries such as France which could suggest that German leaders were in fact responsible. Porter ( source 2) does suggest that Gernan leaders were responsible, civilian and millitary leaders were much influenced by a deep pessimism as to Germanys survival if it did not act before it was too late. This is of course talking about the Schlieffen Plan which is an agressive plan of sieging france to not fight a war on deuce fronts during the war. This contrasts with Mark ( source 1 ) who says that German leaders did not neccessary plan the war, Schlieffen Plan was created 1905, which suggest that German millitary leaders were intellection about planning the war way back before the tension in Europe was high. Norman ( source 3) does seem to disagree with source 1 as it says the situation in which the First World War did break out was forseen for five years beforehand this suggest that the politicians and leaders would of known about the possibilty of war, and therefore some planning would need to be done in case of the war.In conclusion the German Leaders alone cant be responsible for the outbreak of war due to tense situation in Europe, triple entente being put in place which would encircle and therfore ambush Germany. However the sourcessuggest that to a large extent German leaders were contributing towards creating the tension in Europe by their dangerous policy, their army leaders who wanted to quickly start a war and go through Belg ium to gain France which would cause Britain to enter the War with the hopes of Germany not having to fight on two fronts and also the contribution to making the relationship between Britain and Germany thorugh policies such as Weltpolitik or Flottenpolitik. Finally the situation in Germany nationalism and hysteria and also SDP meant that to bear the country together a war would be the only reasonable choice.
